Adhering to the ACC/AHA Guidelines for Ambulatory Electrocardiography

ACS products feature unique processing and reporting methodologies. Our products are designed to simplify the physician's ability to rule out artifactual false positives. More importantly, physicians can easily uncover misinterpreted false negative events.

Evaluating Pacemaker

In order to evaluate pacemaker function properly, the actual, original pacemaker spike must be recorded as it interfaces with the intrinsic cardiac condition. This is best accomplished with a High Resolution recording. The ACS Holter Recorder Model 2010 is the highest resolution Holter monitor available on the market.

Clinicians can trust that the spikes are real and high resolution can help identify lead failure by clearly displaying pulse deflection and amplitude changes.Even when the pacemaker pulse widths are as small as .3msec, they will be visible with ACS' Ultra High capabilities.

Holter and Pacemaker

A Holter procedure performed on a patient with a pacemaker, at best should illustrate: failure to capture, failure to sense, competition and fusion phenomena, and inappropriate rate response. The pacemaker problems can only be identified if the actual pacer spike and corresponding conduction is seen as it actually occurred. Additionally, the Holter report should provide valuable information as to how the pacemaker functioned during the normal 24 hour period for the patient.

Thousand Can Have Heart Rhythm Disorder...doing a Holter Monitor may detect

Thousands of Americans can likely suffer from a potentially deadly arrhythmia if gone undetected. There are several types of abnormal heart rhythms, or arrhythmias. Arrhythmias are typically caused by a malfunction in the heart's built-in electrical system that regulates its beating. Not all arrhythmias are life threatening. A Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist can detect these most abnormal rhythms with a Holter monitor.
